Dead Deadlines
The 1st of July was set to be the restart of my writing, at least an hour a day, discipline, discipline, discipline. Time to dust off the creative side of the brain and finish all those stories I started before <insert excuses here> happened.

I have written exactly ZERO words of creative fiction since that day.

Bodes well, eh?

My fingers are driving me nuts. My typing has gone to shit. Typos in every sentence, sometimes retyped three to four times to get it right. The backspace key will soon die on this keyboard.

And I'm now approxiamately one month behind returning emails. I apologise.

It's great that you're feeling the drive to get back in there and crank out fiction, but an athlete or a concert pianist wouldn't try going straight for the upper echelon of their craft after a huge physical and emotional ordeal. Stretches first. Build slowly. [Apologies if this is annoying.]

It takes a long while. Your brain is affected by the chemo and most of your body's energy is going into healing.

Let it take its time. One day, you'll find the words flowing as they always did.
